Abstract--The rapid rise of IoT, smart cities, digital transformation, and the global digital economy has driven exponential data growth, placing immense pressure on storage systems. Cloud storage has become essential for managing this surge, with governments, enterprises, and individuals migrating data to the cloud. However, this brings significant risks, including unauthorized access and data leakage. This study reviews existing literature on data security and privacy in cloud storage, focusing on encryption technologies and protection strategies to address these emerging challenges.
