Abstract: Workday, as a comprehensive cloud-based Human Capital Management (HCM) and Financials platform, supports varied business integration needs by enabling seamless communication with external systems. This paper explores multi-format file handling capabilities in Workday integrations, particularly focusing on CSV, XML, JSON, and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) files. Through an in-depth discussion of transformation strategies, real-time and batch processing approaches, and error-handling techniques, this study outlines best practices for designing resilient and scalable file-based integrations using Workday Studio, Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), and Core Connectors.
