An Expired Medicine Waste Collection

Authors- S Sowmiya, Dr.A.Poongodi

Abstract--The segregation, collecting, transportation, and disposal of expired medications are all examples of hospital waste management that frequently deviates from accepted practices. An inadequate trash collection plan in many hospitals and medical facilities exposes patients to hazardous garbage and raises health hazards. The goal of this project is to create an application and website for an expired pharmaceutical waste collector that will offer a productive way to gather and handle expired medications. The platform ensures safe disposal procedures and lowers environmental risks by acting as an operational and educational tool for clinics, hospitals, and pharmaceutical facilities. A Java-based web application, the Expired Medicine Waste Collector Website was created to offer a practical and eco-friendly way to get rid of unneeded and expired medications. Drug abuse, water contamination, and accidental ingestion are just a few of the serious health and environmental hazards associated with improper pharmaceutical disposal.
